Voted best Hong Kong band to rock out with by CNNgo.com
From CNNGO.com
“This colorful party rock trio formed in 2007 after a few late-night jam sessions at Sheung Wan hangout Sense 99.
Poubelle International landed their first gig through local music showcase Underground the following year and released their debut EP, “Avec La Boom,” in 2010.
Vocalist Ben McCarthy, drummer Johan Persson and bassist Zane Stroud produce deceptively simple angular art-rock with a whiff of disco and are known locally for their wild live shows and striking videography.
The band launched their latest record, “Sans Contrôle,” at a packed Grappa’s Cellar in June and their video for single “The Hedonist” is now screening on MTV and Channel V.”

ZANE!
We are proud to present Zane Stoud who now manages the bass department in Poubelle International. Local frequent Hong Kong gig attendants may recognize his face from’ Corey Tam and the one horse town‘. A local singer/song writer. Camp Poubelle highly recommends to check him out.

We are back!
After some time of silence we are back on the scene, finally! We dusted of the old stage costumes and started to fire of our patented indie bullets. Last Thursday night at Grappas Cellar we had a short dress rehearsal for our upcoming EP launch warming up for the main act The Shoestrung. A fantastic blues/rock band flown in from London. Four upstanding young gents who cut their own hair and play musical instrument.
Check out The Shoestrung here

The Poubelles’ played two new tracks. A remake of The Chase and the all new The Ride Of The Red Horse. Our closest plans are to finalize the upcoming CD – Sans Control, which we have been working on since Dean Cameron left for Moscow. The CD will include 5 new tracks + one re-mix of our single The Hedonist by GRAZ, expecting to hit the airwaves in June. Stay tuned!
